The Leporello

In developing ideas and work for the Living Stones exhibition held at Norwich Cathedral in 2014, my Leporellos document the entire process from beginning to end. They show first sketches, medium trials, observations, thoughts and feelings, as I sought to capture the experience of working in such an inspiring building. I knew that my books would be important to show in the exhibition and the advantage of the leporello was that it could be opened up to display all the pages. I also liked the way the images and texts could overlap from one page to another, creating a sense of a journey – my silent journey.
